Fortunately, there have been no prosecutions or charges filed against anyone. No cards have been confiscated, either. I've sold nearly 6 thousand cards and I've received a total of six email from people who have had experiences with them worthy enough for them to write to me about.
4 were from people who have used the cards and had encounters with the TSA but nothing worth recounting.
One additional woman wrote me about the screaming match she had with a TSA agent, but I think she was goading them a bit. (more than the cards goad, obviously :) )
A man wrote to tell me that he was harassed by the TSA on his return trip when he arrived at the airport. Something to the effect of "Hey, this was the smart ass with the card..."
On the other hand, many people who use the cards simply give them to the TSA after they are discovered. "Here, it's a gift. Read it. You need it more than I do." Personally, I enjoy this outcome the best.
Early on, I had a perfect experience with a card:
After the card set off the metal detector, I handed it to the TSA agent. He said "What's that? The Bill of Rights?" I went through the metal detector again where it was discovered I was not carrying a weapon. The TSA agent handed me the card and said "Here's your bill of rights back... That sounds pretty funny, huh? 'Here's your bill of rights back'" Immediately, he looked from the card to me and his expression changed from friendly to a bit embarrassed and perhaps (I like to think) ashamed... and I took the card and went on my merry way.
I quoted Penn Jillette from P&T. He was instrumental in the cards making the trip from the idea in my head to their actual existence.
Rock on!
